Noah Consulting to present at the 2013 Calgary Data Management Symposium

Noah Consulting will present two topics at the 2013 Calgary Data Management Symposium being held November 18th – 21st at the Delta Lodge in Kananaskis. During this event in recent years, Noah Consulting has spoken on topics such as the importance of a well master and strategies for implementing PPDM. This year, Noah Consulting's themes are Master Data Management (MDM) and Information Management in the Unconventional Space.

Continuing with a focus on the unconventional space, Paul Haines and Fred Kunzinger will co-present “Is Yesterday’s Unconventional Tomorrow’s Norm?” – a look back at what we have called “unconventional” over the years, what made it unconventional, and how data and data management played a significant part in bringing the unconventional plays in to the mainstream. They will also discuss how the unconventional plays of today might change the role of data management in the future. Haines and Kunzinger both are well-known thought leaders in upstream data management. The presentation will undoubtedly be intelligent, insightful, and witty.

Master Data Management is a major focus for many energy companies. Noah Consulting has helped clients implement MDM programs and possesses deep experience in tool selection, best practices for implementation, and consideration of standard data models, such as PPDM. Prasanna Balakrishnan and Kelly Guillory will co-present on the benefits and challenges of commercial MDM tools specific to our industry and PPDM standards, then follow-up by weighing them against business needs in order to help companies move forward in their presentation, “PPDM Well Master and Commercial MDM Tools.”

From planning to implementation, Noah Consulting is making a difference in the global energy industry by delivering information management consulting services. Noah Consulting has offices in Houston and Calgary.
The Professional Petroleum Data Management (PPDM) Association is a global, not-for-profit society within the petroleum industry that provides leadership for the professionalization of petroleum data management through the development and dissemination of best practices and standards, education programs, certification programs, and professional development opportunities.

Please join us at the Calgary Data Management Symposium, Trade Show & AGM in Kananaskis to see these and many other great presentations.
