Job Description:
The Information Architect will develop the Technical Solution for the Information Management Program or Project. The information architect is ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of a solution that meets customer’s business and technical requirements and supports the overall strategy and scalability identified in the Solution Architecture. This individual must be TOGAF certified and have strong interpersonal skills to facilitate: requirements gathering, design reviews, deliverable approvals, and project/program decisions with key stakeholders, & project teams. This individual must have a proven track record of successful project delivery with increasing responsibility over time.
Skills & Responsibilities:
Effective Information Architects must have demonstrated the following:
Project Architecture:
- Deep experience with a breadth of Data Delivery/Analytic, Data Modeling and ETL Tools
- Deep experience with MDM, Metadata, Profiling, and Information Quality Tools
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional databases
- Identifying business requirements and ensuring the design adequately meets the requirements of the project while remaining aligned with the overall program strategy & architecture
- Defining Technical Requirements and completing a Tool Selection, evaluating tool strengths, and evaluating current infrastructure in the BI Space
- Experience in estimating development efforts to support project delivery (Schedule & Budget)
- Experience with Federated Architectures, Data Warehouses, Analytics, Decision Support Reporting, Data Sourcing, and Data Delivery.
- Deep experience in evaluating various architecture scenarios and recommend solutions.
Project Communication:
- Coordinate & Conduct code reviews
- Conduct & Facilitate requirements, design, and implementation reviews
- Review User Adoption of deliverables and acceptance testing
- Publish Coding Standards and Best Practices for developers and testers
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Industry Expertise:
This individual must have experience working in the Oil & Gas domain with progressive experience in Information Management and Architecture over the past 7-10 years, including:
- Large Scale Data Delivery & Data Warehouse
- Master Data Management
- Metadata Management
- Information Quality
- Information Governance and Stewardship
- This individual must have worked at all levels of technical delivery including development, testing, design, and architecture.
Education:
A BA or BS is required for this position. A degree in Information Technology, MIS or Engineering is preferred.
